Understanding what keeps you stuck
Most suffering isn't random. There's a pattern underneath it often something that used to protect you. We make it visible so it can stop running the show.
My approach
I practice Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Crucible Therapy, Crucible Neurobiological Therapy, and The ACT Crucible, a method I developed combining ACT and Crucible Therapy. All these approaches help you stay present with what's hard, connected to yourself, and engaged with the people who matter.
What therapy focuses on
Most suffering isn't random. There's a pattern underneath it often something that used to protect you. We make it visible so it can stop running the show.
From ACT: the capacity to stay present, open, and guided by your values even when emotions are loud. It's the opposite of being run by avoidance.
From DBT: practical skills for regulating intense emotions, tolerating distress, and staying engaged in your life when things get hard.
We notice how you tend to show up in your closest relationships and what that costs you. Then we practice something different.
From Crucible Therapy: the ability to stay connected to yourself while staying emotionally engaged with someone else. Great for building intimacy and connection.
Developed by David Schnarch building differentiation and intimacy through self-confrontation and relational honesty.
Integrating neuroscience with differentiation to understand how the brain and nervous system shape relational patterns, especially around trauma.
We anchor the work in what matters to you. Change becomes about who you want to be.
In session
Therapy with me is collaborative and transparent. .
I aim for a space that feels relaxed and conversational while still doing serious work. I tend to show up in therapy much the same way I show up in my everyday life, direct, warm, and curious.
